Salvatore Ferragamo, Fall 2012

The Fall 2012 collection from Salvatore Ferragamo has a militia-inspired feel, with structured jackets, buttons, belts and collars. The color palette also brings about a military flavor, with black, gray, browns and greens. I love leather rimmed clothes for the Fall and Winter, and we can see a lot of that this season, including this collection.

Valentino, Fall 2012

The creative force behind the Valentino label continues to impress and inspire, even though the master himself is no longer among us. I have always admired the sophisticated elegance and unforced femininity of the designs - delicate yet powerful images of nostalgia for the ladylike style

Roeckl: Artisans in Leather Accessories

Roeckl is a family-owned business, established in Germany in 1839, and its traditions are rooted in leather crafting. Six generations have devoted over 172 years to mastering the art of creating timeless accessories, beautifully handcrafted leather gloves, handbags and scarves. Compromising the quality of the products has never been an option for the German label and handcrafting is still a very prominent part of their work. Their website offers a sneak-peek video that reveals some of their artisan secrets -  the art of making gloves.
I am totally in love with the label, their work and their products. I have a particularly soft spot for the leather gloves (in case anyone is wondering what to get me for Christmas this year ;). I also love their new generation of leather gloves that are smart-phone friendly, but still as pretty. The combination of leather and wool is sublime - the perfect winter season combo! Enjoy!
