Quote: Passion has its dreams
"Life is a question of nerves, and fibers, and slowly built-up cells in which thought hides itself and passion has its dreams. You may fancy yourself safe, and think yourself strong. But a chance tone of color in a room or a morning sky, a particular perfume that you had once loved and that brings subtle memories with it, a line from a forgotten poem that you had come across again, a cadence from a piece of music ... it is on things like these that our lives depend."

Remembering Alexander McQueen
Alexander McQueen and his contribution to the world of fashion are being rightfully commemorated with the Savage Beauty exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Exquisite pieces from the late designer's work will be displayed until the end of July. The curator of the exhibition, Andrew Bolton (with the support of Harold Koda), did a wonderful job displaying each piece beautifully, while capturing the overall feel of Alexander McQueen's work, telling the story behind each collection. Andrew Bolton explains that a main focus of the exhibition has been to capture the "themes and ideas that McQueen revisited throughout his career: polarized opposites, whether it’s to do with life or death, lightness or darkness, predator/prey, man/machine."
