Lovely or Not? Owl Earrings

I came across these Garnet Jewelry hand-made Owl Earrings that only cost $12. The little creatures are awfully cute, but do they make good earrings? What would you say - lovely or not?

    As mean as it may sound I would rather see them sitting on a branch than hanging from my ear. Not lovely.
