Christmas Decoration with Evergreens
I'm taking the traditional ruby red decoration out of the equation this year and I'm keeping things more natural - only evergreens and frosted gray/silver ornaments. These images are a beautiful inspiration, don't you think?

Decoration Ideas: Fall Pumpkin Festivities
With all the glorious Fall holidays around the corner, I begin to think more and more about decoration ideas, centerpieces and table arrangements.
Here are some creative ways to decorate with pumpkins. Make them a centerpiece, a candle holder or write/carve the guests' initials to guide them to their place at the table. I love these ideas!

Bliss Is All Around: Wishing for... (Happy New Year!)
Happy New Year everyone!
For me, the New Year symbolizes a new beginning, an opportunity to start afresh. Make a quick recap of what happened in your life over the past 12 months, but take from it only the wisdom and the good memories. Let everything else go. Drop the burdensome thoughts, the doubts, the sadness. You don't have to carry old baggage into the new year. 2011 can be everything you want it to be!
I don't have New Year's resolutions. The problem with New Year's resolutions is that they become just another obligation. Instead, I make a New Year wish! There are no commitments and no obligations, but I still spend the time to envision 2011 the way I want it to be.
For this new year I'm wishing for...
... a simple life
... balance
... good health
... the joy of cooking and having friends over
... good books
... the ability to laugh at my mistakes
... love and understanding
... time well spent and making every minute count
... more picture time
... happiness
... vigor, courage and joy.
May your wishes come true, too!

Merry Christmas everyone! Laugh, eat, drink, love and make merry memories! Don't let troubles or worries get to you. Stay away from grumpy. Hug the one you love. Try to see the world through a child's eyes ... and this day can be magical.

Expressions: The Gift of Giving
There is no better gift for me on Christmas than being in good health and being with the people I love. And those who cannot be physically here, I will carry in my heart. No, it's not corny, it's just simple like that.
Give, laugh, love and be merry!

Holiday Spirit: Martha Stewart Holiday Decoration
Martha Stewart, the masterful decorator and entertainer, opens the doors of her homes to give us a glimpse of her festive decorations. If this doesn't get you inspired to recreate the holiday spirit in your home, I don't know what will.
With Martha, the rule of thumb seems to be 'the more, the better'. There is a Christmas tree in every room, and different parts of the house are decorated in different styles. Yet, gold, silver and evergreens seem to be a dominating theme.
