Elie Saab Haute Couture, Fall 2011

This Elie Saab couture masterpiece will remain one of my favorite collections (hmm, I believe I say this every year after I see the Elie Saab collection). Those colors, the lace and tulle, the unmistakeable feminine charm and delicacy of each and every piece . . . Sweeps me off my feet.
See for yourself. . .

Lovely Little Thing: Reminence Lace Mini Dress

This Sandro dress is breathtaking! I love everything about it! The color is adorable, the lace is beautiful and the bow and ruffles are just lovely! In the outfit from Net-a-Porter it is shown with Miu Miu leather platform pumps (love those as well). The whole look is a delightful dreamy sensation.

Lovely Little Thing: Mini in White

I hope everyone is safe and doing well in the middle of the work week. After the snow storm last night everything outside is white, and so is this week's Lovely Little Thing.

This A.L.C. Nelly draped silk dress is beyond pretty - it's effortlessly elegant and feminine. Just a lovely little thing. I hope you like it, too.

The Timeless Little Black Dress

Coco Chanel is definitely one of my idols and a real role model: a strong woman, a talented artist, a successful entrepreneur and a free spirit. However, this post is not about her fascinating persona, it's about what she gave to the world, and among many things, she gave us the little black dress. Any woman ought to have one and wear it proudly. There is nothing as brilliant as the simplicity, elegance and versatility of the little black dress. If I can pack only three items of clothing, one of them would definitely be a black dress (the other two being jeans and a blouse). That kind of dress will never go out of style and is constantly reinvented by designers, season after season, after season.

Here's how prominent designer names see the unique lbd. Enjoy!

Fashion Lookalikes

Where to find designer fashion lookalikes for affordable prices.

Hello everyone!

A lot of people have asked me about affordable alternatives to the high end designer lines. Many girls and women share frustration from the fact that a single designer piece can cost them one arm and their first born. I agree - the sticker shock is too severe for many of us to stomach, but ladies, there is hope!

You do not necessarily need the designer clothes to look fashionable, stylish and pulled together. There are many brands that offer quality on the cheap. The original designer line can help you get an idea of the fashion tendencies and get you inspired. Then, you can raid the nearest outlet shops or department store and find great pieces that create the same designer feel, without breaking the bank.

Here are a few suggestions for designer pieces and their inexpensive lookalikes. It's not important that the clothes are exactly the same. What matters is that both looks have the same feel and set a similar mood.
